The hostel “La Foresta di Fontespugna” is a facility specifically designed to host groups of children, teenagers, adults and school classes.
It is part of the Environmental Education Centres network of the Umbria Region and hosts Adventure Camps for young people, Nature Holidays for families, and School Camps organised by Panda Avventure.
It offers educational, sports and cultural programmes, training courses, as well as stays with self‑managed activities.
Recently renovated using green building techniques and energy‑saving systems, the Centre is a comfortable, versatile, zero‑impact accommodation. It offers simple and welcoming hospitality suitable for groups of all ages, in a family‑friendly atmosphere and with good cuisine based on local and organic products.
The complex consists of several connected buildings: an accommodation area made up of adjacent cottages with 6‑bed rooms, private bathrooms and covered verandas; a large house with dining hall, community kitchen and services; indoor and outdoor spaces for activities. It also features large gazebos for outdoor meals and a tensile structure for workshops, meetings and screenings.
Wi‑Fi internet connection is available.
Environmental sustainability is one of the strengths of the facility.
The Centre is equipped with photovoltaic panels for electricity production, solar panels for hot water, a phytodepuration system for wastewater, biomass heating, and rainwater reuse systems for sanitary services.
Another strong point is the quality of the programmes and the staff, composed of qualified professionals in environmental education and group management. A versatile team, passionate about nature, will guide students and teachers along the proposed educational paths or simply provide support to groups wishing to carry out self‑managed activities.
